
The Lions came out of the gate slowly, as the Eagles jumped out to a 16-6 lead. Bryan's biggest deficit of the game came with 9:49 left in the half as they trailed 20-9. They cut into the lead, but went into the locker room at half time down 6, 35-29. Scott Newton kept the Lions in the game, scoring 19 of the first half's 29 points.
The Lions opened the second half on a 17-10 run to take a 47-45 lead with 10:37 left to play. With 7:40 left to play in the game, the Lions had a 52-50 lead and the momentum when Tyler Clark collided heads with a guard from Reinhardt, splitting both of their heads open just above their eyes. After an extended injury timeout to tend to the players and clean up the blood, the Lions had lost momentum. The Eagles came out of the injury timeout and scored the next 7 points to take the lead back for good. Reinhardt's largest lead of the half came minutes later as they led 63-53 with 2:40 left in the game. Scott Newton responded to score the next 7 points, cutting the lead to 2 points with 54 seconds left, but that was as close as the Lions would get. The Eagles scored the last 5 points of the game off of free throws to win 68-61.
Scott Newton led all scoring with 30 points. Astral Guerrier added 16 points; he fouled out with 4:47 left to play in the game. Derek Batt, Keith Bauer, and Xavierian McCall finished with 4 points apiece. Tyler Clark was the only other person to score, with 3 points.
Bryan lost the battle on the boards as they were outrebounded 32-19. They were also outscored by 5 points from the free throw line.
The Lions finish one of the best seasons they have had in years, with an overall record of 18-10 and a share of the Regular Season Championship.
