Bryan College is excited to announce that Kieren Keane of London, England, will be joining the men's soccer family. Keane will be taking over coaching duties for current Assistant Coach Joey Johnson, who will be taking a year off to go to the mission field. Keane's title will be Assistant Coach and Director of Technical Training and Player Development.

Coach Keane will be responsible for technical and tactical training sessions for the team. He holds England Football Association Coaching Certificates for levels 1, 2, and 3. He is currently coaching for Bridges to the Pro's Academy and Sockers FC Chicago, helping US players become professionals in the US and in Europe. Bridges has had more players turn professional than any other academy in the nation.

Kieren Keane"I am now bringing what I have learned and experienced in hopes of helping the Bryan team. I believe in becoming a strong and humble good man before a player. Once you have that imbedded in your team anything is possible. My wife and I can't wait to start the season. We are blessed that we have been given the opportunity," commented Coach Keane.

Athletic Director and Head Men's Soccer Coach Sandy Zensen stated, "Coach Kieren comes with a wealth of experience, as a professional player and coach. His enthusiasm and expertise will most certainly serve the Lions in their quest for excellence on and off the field. Bryan enjoys a long history of soccer success, and Kieren is committed to push the program further."

Coach Keane is still competing on the professional level. He will be signing with the Charlotte Eagles this coming season. He will play for them throughout the summer before coming to Bryan. He has played professional soccer for 10 years across the world in England, Scotland, Germany, Spain and the USA.

Coach Keane and his wife, Lee, currently reside in Chicago, IL.
