The Bryan College Women's Golf Team is proud to announce Heather Pittman as the first signee. She is currently a senior at Effingham County High School in Springfield, GA. Her senior season is just getting under way.

Last year as a junior, Pittman went undefeated. She attended Vidalia High School her freshman and sophomore seasons. As a sophomore, she finished 3rd best in the State in class AA and was
Low Medalist in her region.

When asked why she wanted to attend Bryan she commented, "It has everything that I wanted in a college. It has the opportunities I am looking for and the stability that I need."

Bryan Golf Coach Peter Bollant said, "We are excited at Bryan to have signed a player like Heather. She will bring quality golf and competitiveness to our program. More importantly she is a quality student and has great character. Her spirit, competitiveness and outgoing personality will be a real plus for our team. She has a great ability to make friends, and her love for golf, our Lord Jesus and life in general is infectious, and I believe it will have a positive impact on other players as well as other students at our school. I look forward to coaching her and seeing her progress in skill and excellence. I believe she will add a lot to our program. Quality character, academic excellence and competitive sports skills are the things we are looking for to build a great golf program."

Pittman signed while at Bryan for the Dean's Scholarship weekend. She has a 3.8 grade point average and scored an 1160 on her SAT. While at Bryan, she will be studying in the Biology Nursing - Vanderbilt "Bridge" Program.
