The Lions traveled to Chattanooga, TN, to take on the Crusaders of Tennessee Temple University. Bryan's bats dominated the game, as they won 12-1 after 8 innings.
The Lions scored 2 runs in their first at bat. Temple responded, scoring their one run in the bottom of the first inning. The Lions tacked on 3 more in the 4th and 6th innings. They scored 4 more in the 8th to give them more than a 10-run lead at the end of the inning, ending the game early.
Josh Harris led the Lions going 3 for 4 from the plate, with 3 runs batted in. Shane Clawson also went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI and scored 3 times. Ryan Henn went 2 for 3, including a homerun, scoring once and having 2 RBIs. Joseph Delrosario added 3 RBIs.
Starting pitcher Tyson Latham went 7 innings, earning the win. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. Josh Smith came in to pitch the last inning, giving up no runs or hits and striking out 1 batter.
The Lions are now 11-10 overall. They play again on Friday and Saturday in a 3-game series against conference opponent Reinhardt College. The single 9-inning game is scheduled to start at 6:00pm ET on Friday, and the doubleheader 7-inning games are scheduled to start at 3:00pm ET on Saturday.
