Johnson City, TN - The 45th Annual Men's NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championship took place at ETSU's Memorial Center for the tenth straight year. Six members of the Bryan College Track & Field team traveled and competed at the championship for the fourth consecutive year. Asuza Pacific won the men's team championship while Oklahoma Baptist took top honors for the 30th Annual championship for the ladies.

Junior Zach Buffington (Ooltewah, TN) ran close to his own school record in the semifinal round of the men's 5000 meter run, but came up short in his bid to make the final. His 15:28.46 was good enough for 10th in the 1st semifinal section.

The men's distance medley relay ran well, but missed the final as well, clocking 10:19.42 in the first round. Senior Daniel Goetz led off for the Lions (3:10.31) with the 1200-meter leg that encountered a slow early pace. Senior Josh Bradley (50.55) carried the 400-meter leg to freshman Jason McLeod, who covered his 800-meter leg in 1:57.20. Sophomore Bryson Harper closed in 4:21.36 for the anchor leg.

Jason McLeod (Ocoee, FL) was 8th in the first section of the men's mile in 4:24.46 on Saturday. Josh Bradley (3 time NAIA All-American) would miss the final in the men's 800-meter run by .05. His 1:54.11 in the first semifinal race would not hold up and he was the first non-qualifier.

"We came up short today and it was disappointing for the guys. I think they all ran fairly well, but it shows that you better be at the top of your game or someone will take it from you. Overall, it was a great learning experience and hopefully something that will make the men that competed and our entire program hungry for the outdoor season," commented Head Coach Rodney Stoker.

The Lions will travel to Winston-Salem, NC, for the Wake Forest Open on March 19-20 to kickoff their outdoor season.
