The Lady Lions Softball Team is proud to announce the signing of Beka James. She is currently playing her senior season at Newport High School in Bellevue, WA.

James is a center fielder who throws right-handed and bats left-handed. In her junior year, she had a .378 batting average and a .431 on base percentage. She had a .428 batting average in the State Tournament. Also, in her junior season, she was given the Golden Glove Award for her team as she had no errors that season.

James said, "I chose Bryan because it was such a welcoming and closely-knit community."

Bryan Head Coach Rocky Stinson commented, "Beka adds a great defensive player in the middle of our outfield and a short game at the top or bottom of the lineup. She has good speed and I look to see her on base a lot this next season."
