The quartet of Josh Bradley, Bryson Harper, Jason McLeod, and Alex Stephens traded the lead with Tennessee and Illinois State during the first two legs of the relay, and currently hold the second fastest time in the NAIA at 7:41.90.
"It was impressive with how our young guys competed. Harper ran aggressively and hit a new level with his performance, especially when you compare it to his 1500 on Friday. I'm curious to see if we can carry this type of mindset into the conference championship," said Head Coach Rodney Stoker.
Bradley took fourth in the second section of the men's 800-meter run with a 1:52.73 on Friday night after Harper ran a personal best in the 1500-meter run of 3:58.63 earlier that afternoon.
The Lions travel to Cullowhee, NC, for the AAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday and Friday.
