The Appalachian Athletic Conference has just released the conference Players of the Week for Track and Field for this spring season. The Lions had three different student-athletes honored for their performances on the track.

Senior Josh Bradley received the men's POW for the weekend of March 20-21. He took second, out of 120, in the men's 800-meter run with a season best of 1:51.89 at the Wake Forest Open. Bradley's mark qualifies him for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championship at the end of May.

Freshman Alyssia Lindsay received the women's POW for the weekend of March 20-21. Lindsay hit a personal best of 2:27.70 in the 800-meter, and even more impressive was her 1,500-meter run the following day when she took 6th in section five at 5:02.33 at the Wake Forest Open. Both of those times set new school records.

Sophomore Ericka Simpson received the women's POW for the weekend of March 26-27. Simpson set a new school record in the 3000-meter run with her time of 11:09.67 at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invite.

These three student-athletes, along with the rest of the Bryan College Track and Field Team, will compete for the AAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday and Friday in Cullowhee, NC.
