The Bryan College Basketball program is proud to announce the signing of Mitchell Bumgarner. He is currently a senior at Cumberland Christian Academy in Marietta, GA. This past season, Bumgarner led his team to a State Championship in the Independent Christian Schools of Georgia and Alabama Athletic Association.

Bumgarner was named Most Valuable Player of the State Tournament. In his senior year, he averaged 22.5 points per game, shooting 55.4% from the floor and 40.1% from beyond the 3-point arc. He also averaged 8.7 rebounds per game and 2.6 steals per game.

"Mitchell is a young man with a great deal of promise. He is athletic with good offensive skill. He had a terrific high school career and we think he has a bright future with our basketball program," commented Bryan College Head Coach Don Rekoske.

Cumberland Christian Academy Head Coach Dick Skelton said, "Mitchell is very coachable. He has good versatility in his game and is very unselfish. He is a vocal leader and is very aggressive on both ends of the floor."

While attending Bryan, Bumgarner will be pursuing a degree in Exercise & Health Science.
