Bryan College Men's Soccer was crowned champion of the 16-team Berry Invitational 7-A-Side Spring Tournament. The Lions were undefeated on the day, registering a record of 7 wins, 1 draw, and no losses en route to their 1st place finish. The Lions were undefeated in particularly strong group play, which saw 3 of 4 teams in their group eventually qualify for the semi- finals of the tournament. Bryan outscored opponents 17 to 2 on the day. The tournament drew some great competition, with schools such as Southern Polytechnic State University, Shorter College, Berry College, Birmingham Southern College, Georgia Perimeter College, Young Harris College, Covenant College, Emmanuel College, among others in attendance. Jacobo Gallardo scored the game-winner as Bryan defeated a strong Young Harris team 2-0 in the championship game.

Goalkeeper Rodrigo Pigatto was fantastic in goal all tournament, allowing just 2 goals in 8 games. Defensively, Harry Sherwood, Jonathan Houghton, Jordan Devlin, Lee Rickman, and Taylor McFerran were all solid. In the attack, Jacobo Gallardo was the engine in the midfield all day with effective play out of Bennie Bardales and Tom Hemmings on the wings. Ricky Angel and Curt Hays worked well as target players and Joseph Jones, Sebastian Fischer, Steve Perry and Chase Holland were valuable contributors to the team's success.

The Lions look to cap off an undefeated Spring season with a trip to the Stanno Invitational at Southern Poly this Saturday.
