The Bryan College baseball team hosted the Lee University Flames on Tuesday night. The Flames are currently ranked #6 in the nation in the NAIA Coaches' Poll. The Lions were defeated 10-3.
  

Kevin Layne led the Lions from the plate. He had 2 hits for the game, and 2 runs batted in on a double in the second inning. Jonathan Davis, Pablo Rodriguez, and Josh King each added a hit. Shane Clawson had an RBI on a sacrifice fly in the first inning.

The Lions threw six different pitchers from the mound. Daniel Zimmerman started on the mound, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits. Zach Breazeale pitched the 3rd inning, giving 1 run on 2 hits. Kemonte Keesee pitched the 4th inning. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits and received the loss. Ben Young held the Flames scoreless and hitless in the 5th inning. Josh Smith pitched the next 3 innings and gave up 4 runs on 4 hits. Josh Harris pitched the 9th inning, giving up 0 hits or runs, and striking out 2 of the 3 batters he faced.

The Lions are now 20-27. They play again this weekend in a 3-game series at conference opponent Bluefield College. The Friday night game is scheduled to start at 7:00pm ET, and the Saturday doubleheader is scheduled to start at 1:00pm ET.
