Bryan Men's Soccer is pleased to announce the signings of English midfielders Lyle Gifford and Scott Purdue. Both players are expected to make an immediate impact in next year's squad as they work towards a 3rd-straight AAC title.

Gifford, a speedy outside midfielder from Oxfordshire, England, is no stranger to the Lions as he was a starter on the 2008 AAC Championship squad. As a freshman, he was named as an AAC 1st Team All-Conference selection, and as a proven player at this level, Lyle brings his pace and great attacking mindset to a team eager to welcome him back to the red and white.

Purdue, a central midfielder from Middlesex, England, will bolster an already solid midfield unit. He brings a wealth of experience at a high level of play, and has shown great leadership as he has consistently served as his team's Captain throughout his playing career. Purdue possesses great vision, excellent technical skill, and makes great decisions with the ball at his feet. He will be an immediate asset to the team and continue to strengthen a squad that the Lion fans look forward to watching in 2010.

Bryan is undefeated in tournament matches in the Spring and the future looks bright for the Lions as they build towards opening night in August.
