The Bryan College baseball team took on Bluefield College in the second round of the AAC tournament last night. The tournament fell behind, and the Lions' game that was supposed to start at 7:30pm ET did not get started until about 9:00pm ET. The Lions fell 9-0.
Jonathan Davis was the only batter for Bryan with multiple hits. He went 2-for-3 from the plate. William Colvard and Josh Harris went 1-for-1. Pablo Rodriguez also had a hit.
Adam Polston started on the mound for the Lions. He went 5 & 2/3 innings, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits. Polston received the loss. Zach Breazeale came in and pitched the next 1 & 1/3 innings. He gave up 0 runs, 1 hit, and struck out 2 batters. Kemonte Keesee came in to pitch in the 8th. He gave up 1 run on 1 hit. After 1 out, Ben Young came in for the last 2 outs and gave up 4 runs on 3 hits.
The Lions are now 21-34. They play again on Wednesday against Union College. The game is scheduled to start at 1:30pm ET. The tournament is taking place at Hunter-Wright Stadium in Kingsport, TN.
