Nashville, TN - The Bryan College Track & Field program continued their recent success at the Music City Distance Carnival on Saturday night by setting three school records at Vanderbilt University's Track Complex.

A week after landing his fourth NAIA All-American honor, senior Josh Bradley (Ringgold, GA) set a lifetime best and school record in the 800-meter run with a fourth place finish of 1:48.67. Bradley crossed the line just ahead of the recent 1500-meter and 800-meter NAIA national champ Silas Kisorio of Oklahoma Christian.

"It was a great night for racing and Milner does a great job of bringing in top athletes from around the country. Bradley is inching closer to the elite level and we are confident he will continue to develop. We hope to find him another race in the coming weeks as he was just off the USATF Champs qualifying mark of 1:48.45," stated Head Coach Rodney Stoker.

Sophomore Bryson Harper (Sequatchie County HS, TN) grabbed a school record as well, clocking 4:10.14 in the men's mile. Harper was 5th in the second section of the Men's Mile Invitational, and 18th overall, that was won by Andrew Jesien at 3:59.13. Four men broke four minutes in the top section.

Freshman Alyssia Lindsay (Spring City, TN) set a new school record in the women's 5k race, crossing the line at 19:27.30. It was Lindsay's first attempt at the 12 & ½ lap race in which she finished fourth.

Other notable performances for the Lions were junior Zach Buffington (Ooltewah, TN), who lowered his personal best to 15:16.14 and 5th place finish in the 5000-meter run. Colby Smith (Dayton, TN) won the open 800-meter section in 1:58.67, while freshman teammate Drew Thompson (Murfreesboro, TN) took the top spot in the open section of the men's mile in 4:25.53, just ahead of classmate Alex Stephens (Cleveland, TN).

"Our athletes did a super job today. Harper is gaining confidence with each race and has a great future. Lindsay struggled some in the middle kilometers, but kept it together and impressed me with it being her first go at the distance," commented Stoker.
