The Appalachian Athletic Conference released the women's soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Lady Lions, who advanced to the AAC Tournament championship match in 2009, tallied 37 points placing them in third.
  

Union College (KY) is favored to repeat as the AAC champions in women's soccer, according to the AAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Union garnered six of the possible seven first-place votes for a total of 48 points. Last season, Union won both the regular-season and tournament conference titles.

Milligan (TN) College received the remaining first-place vote and is predicted to finish second with 39 total points. Bryan, just two points behind Milligan, was selected third. Reinhardt University (GA) is fourth with 26 points.

Rounding out the poll are Tennessee Wesleyan College in fifth (23 points), Montreat (NC) College in sixth (12 points) and Bluefield  College (VA) in seventh (11 points).

The AAC Tournament opening-round matches will be held at the higher seeds' home site on Saturday, November 6. The regular-season champion and number 1 seed will host the semifinal and championship matches on November 12-13.
