The Lions received seven of the eight possible first-place votes and are the favorites to win the 2010 AAC men's soccer championship, according to the AAC Preseason Coaches' Poll released today.
Bryan, who finished second during the 2009 regular season before winning the league tournament, garnered 63 total points, 13 more than second-place Milligan College (TN).
Milligan received the other first-place vote.
Union College (KY) came in just behind Milligan with 48 points, while Montreat College (NC) received 44 points. Reinhardt University (GA) rounds out the top five as it tallied 34 points.
Tennessee Wesleyan College is sixth with 23 points, Bluefield College (VA) is seventh at 16 points, and Virginia Intermont College is eighth with 10 points.
The AAC Tournament opening-round matches will be held at the higher seeds' home site on Saturday, November 6. The regular-season champion and number 1 seed will host the semifinal and championship matches on November 12-13.
