The Lady Lions opened up their 2010 season with a very strong showing this past weekend. On Friday they played at Truett-McConnell, and then on Saturday they traveled to Toccoa Falls College. The Lady Lions won both of the games 5-0.

Against Truett-McConnell the ladies scored 3 goals in the first half and 2 in the second. Hannah Farlett and Liz Ponto had 2 goals and 1 assist apiece. Kathryn DeRhodes added a goal as well. Goalkeeper Stephanie Gagnon had 7 saves to preserve the shutout.

The Lady Lions were led by Chelsea Parham against Toccoa Falls. She found the back of the net four times. Liz Ponto also scored a goal, her third of the weekend. Stephanie Gagnon posted her second shutout in a row.

The Lady Lions are now 2-0. They play again on Friday against Campbellsville University. The game will kickoff at 4:00pm ET at Covenant College.
