Bryan College went 1-1 this weekend at the NCCAA Mid-East Region Women's Soccer Classic, hosted by Covenant College. The Lady Lions lost 1-0 to the Campbellsville University Lady Tigers in close battle on Friday evening. However, they regrouped quickly and defeated the Cincinnati Christian University Lady Eagles 2-0 on Saturday morning.

On Friday evening, the game was very tight and evenly played until the 75th minute. Bryan's goalkeeper Stephanie Gagnon was called for a foul inside the box. She was sent off the field after the play, and Kara Nissley came in to replace her. The Lady Tigers scored on the penalty kick that was awarded to them as a result of the play. Despite playing down a man, the Lady Lions did not give up another goal; however, they were unable to equalize the score.

On Saturday morning, it was another game that was evenly played but this time the Lady Lions found the back of the net twice. Hannah Farlett scored both of the goals for Bryan. In the 18th minute, Chelsea Parham ripped a shot that the keeper deflected. Farlett ran on to the ball and blasted it into the back of the net. Then in the 41st minute, Farlett was in the right place to bury the ball into the back of the net off of a crossed ball. Kara Nissley tallied four saves to record the shutout.

The Lady Lions are now 3-1. They play again on Wednesday at the University of the Cumberlands. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00pm ET.
