The Lady Lions traveled to Williamsburg, KY, on Wednesday to take on the Lady Patriots of the University of the Cumberlands. The Bryan College women, who are receiving votes to be ranked in the top 25, defeated the Lady Patriots 1-0.
  

It was an offensive-minded game as there were a total of 27 shots taken for the game with both teams creating opportunities for multiple goals. The Lady Lions took the lead in the 28th minute on the game-winning goal scored by Carli MilliganKaitlyn Bryant played a free kick over the last line of the defense; Milligan ran onto the ball, beating the keeper to it, and placed it into the back of the net.

It was then up to the Lady Lions' defense to hold the Lady Patriots out of their net. Freshman Goalkeeper Stephanie Gagnon was up for the task as she recorded 12 saves to earn her third shutout of the season. It was the team's fourth of five games in which they held their opponent scoreless.

The Lady Lions are now 4-1 overall. They play again on Saturday in their first home game as they host the Lady Eagles of Asbury University. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00pm ET.
