Taylor Hasty - Head Coach - 2nd Season

Coach Hasty is entering his 2nd season as the Head Coach of the Lions.  Coming off a difficult 1st season at the helm of the Lions baseball program, Hasty is very excited about this next year, "We have a great group of guys coming in and our program should take major strides in the right direction this season."

A 2006 graduate from Bryan College, Hasty helped restart the baseball program at Bryan in 2002 after a 16-year hiatus.  Despite playing third base and left field for the Lions, Hasty was primarily a pitcher, holding career records in Innings Pitched (332) and Saves (8).  Hasty saw the program grow from 8 wins his freshmen year to 24 his senior year and a 6th place finish in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.  He served as a team captain for 3 years and in his senior season earned the Bryan College Athletic Department's highest honor, the Lion of Valor award, given to the outstanding Christian athlete who excelled both on and off the field.

A native of Charlotte, NC, Hasty graduated from Charlotte Latin School.  He earned his bachelor's degree from Bryan and will soon receive his master's in sports management from the United States Sports Academy.

Coach Hasty has been married to the former Julie Thompson of Chattanooga, TN for three years. The couple and their infant son, Maddux, currently reside in Dayton, TN.

Coach Beuster is entering his first season as an assistant coach with the Lions. He comes to Bryan from Lindenwood University, where he was the pitching coach for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

While at Lindenwood, Beuster led his former team to back-to-back regular season and post-season HAAC Championships with an overall record of 85-34-1. He also oversaw seven athletes who received all-conference honors and coached the 2009 HAAC Pitcher of the Year, as the Lions' pitching staff was perennially among the best in the nation statistically.

Before coaching and receiving his M.A. from Lindenwood University, Coach Beuster attended Culver Stockton College in Canton, MO, where he played baseball for four years and received his B.S. While there, he led Culver Stockton to two regular season championships and a super-regional appearance as a pitcher before graduating in 2007.

"The end result of our baseball season will include wins and losses, but it will go beyond that as well," said Beuster, "How these men develop, how they conduct themselves, and what they learn about life is paramount."

Coach Beuster is originally from Geneseo, IL, where he graduated from J.D. Darnall High School. He married his wife, Emily, in June of 2009. They currently reside in Dayton, TN.
