Janice Perron is entering her eighth year as Head Cheer Team coach at Bryan College. Coach Perron has coached and judged cheer for over 20 years for a variety of ages, from elementary to college, and has a great reputation in the Christian cheer industry. She started the cheer program at her previous college position and was integral in restarting the cheer team at Bryan. While at Bryan, she has begun a co-ed program and has recently added a mascot program as well. "I am so blessed to be able to share my passions with my team. 'Christ above all' is the school's motto, as well as my own, and being able to present scholarships to Cheer athletes to help them receive a quality education and use their talents for Christ is an amazing blessing. I am looking forward to the upcoming season! I love seeing how God moves in the individual athletes, and the team as a whole, each year. I also love breaking the stereotypical image of 'cheerleading' as seen in our culture. Cheering is a supportive sport. We work hard and strive to perfect our craft, while also promoting, supporting, and energizing the other teams on campus." Isaiah 41:6 ESV "Everyone helps his neighbor and says to his brother 'Be Strong!"
Coach Perron's life verse, which she has seen God demonstrate time and again, is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future!"
