
Jack Traylor, (known as D.T. to the Lady Lions), along with his wife Karin (known as Mama T.), began assisting the Bryan women's basketball team in 1987. Starting as team chaplain, he soon moved into an assistant coaching role while Mama T. began working as team statistician. Over the years they have served under nine head coaches. A native of Emporia, Kansas, D.T. is a graduate of the College of Emporia, and holds graduate degrees from Emporia State University and the University of Oklahoma. He serves as chairman of the Bryan history department and also teaches women's self-defense courses for the college. His current duties with the Lady Lions include planning road trips, calling stats for Mama T. courtside at both home and away games, supervising the home scorer's table staff, and assisting with practices. D.T. and Mama T. also assisted the Bryan volleyball team for ten seasons and he served as an assistant baseball coach for six seasons.
