[Cheerleading] May Watts Now Set to Cheer for Bryan

The Bryan College cheer program is pleased to announce the signing of May Watts. She is from Birmingham, Ala., and recently graduated from Evangel Christian School. Watts stated, "I chose Bryan because I absolutely love the small Christian atmosphere." As to joining the cheer program she commented, "The sense of family that I have felt while being on campus to visit has played a major role in my decision."

[Women's Soccer] Women's Soccer Releases 2013 Schedule

The women's soccer team has released their 2013 schedule. The Lady Lions will play one match before classes start. Their first game will be at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga., on August 23. The Lady Lions' home opener will be August 31 against Cincinnati Christian University.

[Cheerleading] Cheer Squad Signs Xia Grimwood

The Bryan College cheerleading squad is pleased to announce the signing of Xia Grimwood. She is from Cordova, Alaska. Grimwood said she chose Bryan because, "I wanted to go to a Christian and a small-sized college. Also, I wanted to go someplace where it's hot!"

[Softball] Chappell, Davis, and Vaughn Named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) recently released the list of student-athletes who were named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes. Juniors Shanna Chappell, Jill Davis, and Katie Vaughn received the honor.

[Baseball] Latham Named NAIA Baseball All-American

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2013 NAIA Baseball All-America teams, selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (NAIA-BCA) All-America Selection Committee. Rising Bryan senior, Tyler Latham, was named to the 1st Team as a Catcher.

Bryan College men's volleyball is proud to announce the signing of defensive specialist Austin Hangebrauck. He is from Rescue, Calif. Hangebrauk has garnered much experience in the game, having played for six years. He completed his senior year by winning the Best Sportsmanship Award.

The Bryan College volleyball team is proud to announce the signing of Kaitlynn McAdams. She has played volleyball for 10 years, and played four years of varsity volleyball at McKinney Christian Academy in McKinney, Texas. McAdams played club volleyball on Club Legacy for two years, and on SLAM Volleyball Club her senior year. She was a middle blocker for her high school and both of her club teams. As a senior, McAdams was named All-State 1st Team, District Co-MVP, All-District 1st Team, MVP of Legacy Christian Tournament, and her team's Offensive MVP.

The NAIA recently released the list of student-athletes who were named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Men's Track and Field Scholar-Athletes. Seniors Jason McLeod, Alex Stephens, and Drew Thompson received the award.

[Men's Soccer] Several Lions Set to Play Over the Summer

Over the past few years, Bryan College men's soccer has seen more and more of its players signing contracts in USL Premier Development League and the National Premier Soccer League to play for the summer season. These two leagues are recognized as the highest amateur leagues in the country and provide an opportunity for players to test themselves against the best collegiate players in the country and participate in the US Open Cup and matches against professional sides. In addition, Bryan continues to develop players for the professional game after graduation as well as send players into the coaching ranks.

The Bryan College cheer program is pleased to announce the signing of Megan Harris. She is a graduate of Rhea County High School. Harris said that she chose Bryan because, "I grew up around Bryan and always loved it. I also wanted to go to a college that had an intimate, Christian atmosphere." She also stated, "I wanted to join the cheer team to become involved with the school. I believe my positive attitude and hardworking spirit will help the team."

[Volleyball] Shelby Enochs Set to Extend Career at Bryan

The Bryan College volleyball team is proud to announce the signing of Shelby Enochs. She has played on the Cookeville High School varsity volleyball team the past three years. Enochs also played club ball for Rutherford County Juniors in Murfreesboro, Tenn., during her junior and senior years of high school. She made the All-District 1st Team and All-Region Tournament Team. Enochs received the Setter Award for her team the last two years. Her senior year, she also received the Blocking Award and was chosen for the MVP Award.

Bryan College Men's Soccer is pleased to announce the signings of additional players for the fall of 2013 academic year. Josh Smotherman is a central midfielder from Ringgold, Ga.; and Tyler Duncan is a goalkeeper from Clinton, Tenn.

The Bryan College Cheerleading program is pleased to announce the signing of Erin Bell. She attended high school at Moore County High School. Bell was given the Most School Spirit Award. She stated, "I chose Bryan because they allow me to express my faith. I love the campus and the people there are great! I want to cheer at Bryan because I love to cheer and I am definitely dedicated to the team."

[Men's Cross Country] Three Lions Race at Nationals, Hatfield Earns All-American Honors

Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind., played host to the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships May 23-25. The Lions sent three athletes to the meet to compete against the nation's best.

[Volleyball] Women's Volleyball Inks Eryn Walker

The Bryan College women's volleyball team is pleased to announce the signing of Eryn Walker. She is a DS/Libero and played high school volleyball for Walker Valley High School in Cleveland, Tenn. As a junior, Walker had 173 digs and 111 service receptions. As a senior, her stats included 249 digs with 216 service receptions. She won the team award for most aces with 50, and received All-District honorable mention her senior year. Walker also participated in club volleyball for 3 years with the Ocoee Heat and 1 year with Choo Choo City.
