The Bryan College Men's Club Volleyball team debuted this weekend at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The Lions were seeded second in their first pool and won their first match, beating Georgia Tech's "B" team in two straight sets. They matched up against Emory University next, and after losing a tight first set, they couldn't maintain their high level of play and fell to Emory in 2 sets.
Bryan College men's volleyball is proud to announce the signing of defensive specialist Austin Hangebrauck. He is from Rescue, Calif. Hangebrauk has garnered much experience in the game, having played for six years. He completed his senior year by winning the Best Sportsmanship Award.
Men's Volleyball is proud to announce the signing of Connor Crawford. He is a transfer from Eastern Kentucky University and is a position-flexible hitter. Crawford began playing four years ago, participating in pick-up club tournaments in Louisville and Lexington. He has also been an assistant coach for Horizon Volleyball Club for the past two years.
The Bryan Lions are proud to announce the signing of Nathaniel Shadoan to the men's club volleyball team. Nathaniel, a Christian-schooled senior from Somerset, Ky., has been an active member in the volleyball in his community. He was the assistant coach for the 2012 KCAA State Champions and also assists with a local club team. "He is athletic and has taken advantage of every opportunity to play in his area," said Bryan Head Coach Alison Williams.
