Over the past few years, Bryan College men's soccer has seen more and more of its players signing contracts in USL Premier Development League and the National Premier Soccer League to play for the summer season. These two leagues are recognized as the highest amateur leagues in the country and provide an opportunity for players to test themselves against the best collegiate players in the country and participate in the US Open Cup and matches against professional sides. In addition, Bryan continues to develop players for the professional game after graduation as well as send players into the coaching ranks.

Bryan College Men's Soccer is pleased to announce the signings of additional players for the fall of 2013 academic year. Josh Smotherman is a central midfielder from Ringgold, Ga.; and Tyler Duncan is a goalkeeper from Clinton, Tenn.

Bryan College Men's Soccer is pleased to announce the signing of several new additions to the program for the upcoming 2013 season. "The quality of these student-athletes both on and off the field is such that they will be a perfect fit for our program going forward. We are excited to welcome each of them into our soccer 'family' here at Bryan and are looking forward to their arrival in August. It is always enjoyable to welcome new players into our environment here as we strive together to maximize their full potential as players and more importantly, as young men. I look forward personally to watching them pull on the red and white for the first time as they begin their collegiate careers at Bryan," stated Head Coach Joey Johnson.

The first Bryan Men's Soccer ID Camp was a tremendous success as 42 athletes travelled from around the Southeast to showcase their abilities to the coaching staff and experience Bryan College for two days. During the two-day event, players were given campus tours, met with financial aid and admissions representatives, shared the BC locker room and spent meals together as they made new friends. Training consisted of physical testing and speed and agility work combined with a variety of small-sided games, which proved to be highly competitive. Coach Johnson said, "I was very pleased with the turn out and impressed with the quality of the student-athletes who attended. It was clear that many of the athletes would fit well into our program and institution. Already, several players have signed scholarships and will be wearing the red and white next season. Others are in the process of making decisions, and we certainly have been excited to explore with them the possibility of their college experience being at Bryan College."
The Bryan College coaching staff will host an additional ID Camp on Saturday, April 13, for players who are interested in playing at the next level.
