Dr. Sandy Zensen, director of athletics and men's soccer coach, is in his 21st year at Bryan.
During his tenure at Bryan, his teams have compiled a 238-125-23 record and participated in post-season games 18 of his20 years. In addition, his teams have won four Appalachian Athletic Conference titles, six NCCAA Mid-East Regional championships and appeared in five NAIA Region XII tournaments. Dr. Zensen has been named AAC Coach of the Year three times, NCCAA Mid-East Regional Coach of the Year six times, NCCAA National Coach of the Year in 1995 and NSCAA National Coach of the Year in 2003.
More than a dozen of his players have been named NCCAA All-Americans, more than 30 have been named NAIA or NCCAA All-American Scholar Athletes, two have been named NAIA regional players of the year, and numerous players have been named to all-conference teams.
Before coming to Bryan, he spent eight years as coach of the Catskill, N.Y., High School soccer team while serving as senior pastor at First Baptist Church, Catskill.
Dr. Zensen is a graduate of The Kings College and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and earned doctoral degrees from Luther Rice Seminary and Oxford Graduate School.
